Anne Muchoki is the Chairperson of Kenya Investment Authority and one of Kenya’s leading Chartered Surveyor with in-depth experience in property consultancy in the wider East-African markets and the United Kingdom. She has been in the forefront in pioneering community housing in Kenya and was involved in the country’s initial community housing project (Marula Gardens), after she left Regent Group- a company she had helped setup and that grew to be one of the leading real estate companies in the country.
She has been involved in the acquisition and realization of Key Golf estate developments and other properties in Kenya and across Africa and was the key consultant in the disposal of various large corporate property portfolios. In 2007, she was appointed by the president of the republic of Kenya (Hon. Mwai Kibaki) to the Presidential Commission looking into the illegal and irregular allocation of land in Kenya and in 2013 as the Chairperson of Kenya Investment Authority (KEINVEST). In 2010 she helped found Home Africa Communities Limited- Migaa Project and is currently a director charged with leading the legal and marketing team. Migaa is a flagship project of Home Africa that is based on a 774-acre piece of land that has had a 1000% increase in value since purchase. She is also currently an active Director of Kenya Commercial Bank (Rwanda) among others.
Anne is a strong believer in women empowerment and girl child education. She has also been involved in the building of a number of schools in her rural home in Nyandarua and Murang’a and currently an education sponsor for a large number of Girls.
She holds a BA (Hons) Degree in Politics and Economics from the University of London and a MBA from Brunel University, London as well as a MSC in Commercial Property Management from Liverpool John Moores University. She is an Associate of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a registered real estate agent.
